How we work it out
Energy is the fiddliest one, so we'll use it to show our workings — the same four steps run for car and home insurance, broadband and mobile. Where you live, what you use and how you pay all change the price.

We start with where you live
Your postcode tells us which suppliers can serve you and, for gas, whether you're on the Greater Belfast & West network or Ten Towns. If a supplier can't reach your address, you'll never see them in your results.

Your bill, or just a rough idea
Send us your latest bill and we'll pull out your supplier, deal and usage — or tell us roughly what you use and we'll work with that. Not sure? That's okay, we'll use a typical NI home to get you started.

We do the complicated bit
Standing charges, day and night rates, discounts, welcome credits — all of it goes in, so you get one honest yearly figure. We also show what it costs once the introductory offers run out, because that matters too.

We order deals by price, nothing else
The cheapest deal for you goes at the top, full stop. Nothing else — not branding, not buzzwords — changes the order. Every price links back to a dated tariff version so you can check it yourself.
