Cookie Policy

This is the actual list of what runs on BILLOCKS, from an audit of the code — not a generic template.

The short version

  • There are no advertising pixels, no ad networks and no third-party marketing trackers on this site.
  • There is no Google Analytics, Meta pixel, TikTok pixel or similar.
  • Our measurement is first-party: it lands in our own database and is not sold or shared.
  • Most of what we store is either keeping you signed in or remembering your own settings.

Everything we use

Sign-in session (authentication token)

Local storage / cookie

What it does: Keeps you signed in as you move around the site.

What it collects: A session token tied to your account. No browsing profile.

Who receives it: BILLOCKS and our hosting/database provider.

Consent: Strictly necessary — no consent needed. Only set once you sign in.

Comparison session reference

Local storage

What it does: Remembers the comparison you just filled in, so you can claim it if you create an account.

What it collects: A random reference. Not your name or email.

Who receives it: BILLOCKS only.

Consent: Strictly necessary for the feature you asked for.

Your on-site preferences

Local storage

What it does: Remembers your region, whether Wee Bully mode is on, larger text, and how visible the chat button is.

What it collects: Your own settings. Nothing identifying.

Who receives it: BILLOCKS only. Stays on your device.

Consent: Strictly necessary for the preference to work.

First-party page and journey logging

First-party, our own database

What it does: Tells us which pages people struggle on so we can fix them, and lets support see the path of a session that failed.

What it collects: Pages visited, timings and errors, stored in our own database. No advertising profile.

Who receives it: BILLOCKS only. Not shared with any advertising network.

Consent: Analytics — where consent is required this will be gated by the consent mechanism before it runs.

Push notification subscription

Browser push subscription

What it does: Sends you the alerts you asked for, such as a price change or a renewal date.

What it collects: A browser push endpoint and keys. No message content is stored on your device.

Who receives it: BILLOCKS and your browser's push service.

Consent: Only created after you explicitly allow notifications.

Managing it

You can clear site storage and cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so signs you out and forgets your preferences. If we ever add a technology that requires consent, the consent mechanism will be updated at the same time and this page will list it before it goes live.
